How we did it

The steps

Step 01

Project inspection

Assess overall infrastructure requirements, including servers, networking equipment, workstations, locations, technology and connectivity strength.

Step 02

Procurement

Look after the purchasing of all POS machines and replace POS devices across every store.

Step 03

Warehouse fit-outs

Install all network devices, including routers, switches and access points, and set up and configure printers and cable management.

Step 04

Store fit-outs

Install the full network, including routers, switches and access points, plus POS machines, hardware set-up and cable management. Configure MacBooks for all store managers.

Step 05

Event pop-ups

Set up POS machines with card machines and an internet connection for central inventory.

Step 06

HQ office fit-out

Move the server and set up a new server room, run and terminate cabling to floor boxes, and set up and deploy MacBooks and desktops.

Step 07

Documentation

Regularly update documentation on configurations, changes and troubleshooting procedures, and maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.

Step 08

Training and education

Educate non-IT users about changes such as operating system updates and new Microsoft application features.
